Analysis of the cracking causes of mullite saggars
Release time:2021-11-29 09:03:37    Author:

  Saggar cracking is mainly due to the following reasons:

  1、When the mullite saggar cracks, you should observe whether the cracks are evenly distributed. If it is not uniform, it may be caused by uneven heating during use and unbalanced thermal stress;

  2、If the surrounding cracks are relatively uniform, it may be that the raw materials are not mixed uniformly enough when preparing the saggar. The solution to this problem lies in the quality control of the production process, the important thing is whether the saggar formula is reasonable. The saggar formula developed by our factory is currently in the leading position in China. Second-rate.

  Product testing experiments usually use an index to evaluate the ability of the material to not be damaged when the temperature changes sharply, that is, the thermal shock resistance, also known as thermal shock stability. When testing the thermal shock resistance of refractory materials, the test temperature usually used is 1100 degrees, that is, the refractory materials are heated to 1100 degrees, and then cooled to room temperature in a short time (within 5 minutes) by water cooling or air cooling. If the calcination temperature of the product is 1200 degrees, its use conditions are not very harsh, and it can be used more than 10 times under thermal shock conditions.
